Penny wise and pound foolish may sound funny but to try to do any work on something you depend on to take you away and get you home without the manual is not wise. That being said if you google HD Street Bob exhaust there are post that show how to get the job done.:newsmile034:

Yep, Don is right here, torque realigning and gaskets can be a problem, I would get a manual it will pay off in the end, and a good torque wrench:s

Balance pipes usually run between the two exhaust pipes to equalize the exhaust pulses. ie. both cylinders firing through both mufflers each time they fire.

Aaaah, you mean like a crossover chamber? Okay, I get it now Thanks Hobbit / Glider for the explanation.

My vance & hines short shots do not come with a crossover, was doubting a long time to install the longer variant of the pipes which do have a balancer pipe. I guess the look and sound of the drag pipes prevailed.
