Faux leather is usually "Expanded Vinyl" so a preparation that has UV blockers in a petroleum based product (like Pledge) will prevent outgassing (vinyl from drying out) from occuring is good. Also, Pledge over it that will give it shine!

Have used Pledge and it does work but I still prefer Maguiars for a lasting shine ...

Yeah same here, I like my Crystal Glo on the paint. But I like the Pledge on the frame paint and the chrome. Makes the frame pop and Pledge is so easy just to spray on.
