I wouldn't be nervous. I've talked to a large dealer and mid-sized independent that have installed many PC IIIs with no problems to the ECM. I have one on my XL1200C and have been very happy. I like being able to fine tune to eliminate things like decel popping.

And, as I mentioned, I'm installing a PC-V on my '09 FLHR.
