primary noise

I switched to Formula+ in the primary and my noises went away. Syn3 in all holes just doesn't work out for me.

ALL sportsters need Gear oil in the Primary/TRANNY...

Remember, they Share the oil with each other...

Formula + is one that works good AND is Wet Clutch approved.

If it is belt drive on the 91 sportster it should be a 5 speed gearbox and will take about 32 ounces if it is a 4 speed gearbox then 38 would be about right but there should be a level plug to the rear of the primary fill the primary till the oil starts to overflow from the level plug and you will have the correct amount
