Very accurate. I purchased it at Harley. I also have the Harley pump for shocks. Both read the same.

Hate to point out something that might already been considered was, is your pressure gauge accurate? I had a similar issue when I had two pressure gauges gave identical bad readings. The tires were in fact 8lbs under pressure.

When I find more than a 2 lb difference in gauges ( I compare them to a jeweled Snap On Gauge) I toss the bad ones JMO TPGF60, Tire Pressure Gauge, with Hose, Dial-Type, 5 to 60 psi

Somewhere it was stated that on any tire pressure, if you are within 1-3 lbs over/under you are OK. Most (not all) gauges are off about that amount.

Sometimes we get lucky and find a dealer that cares if we are enjoying the machine. Keep him close.
