Glad to hear they got you somewhat straightened out. Maybe a bad pager?
I just re read your post and realized you installed the alarm yourself. I over looked that the first time.
I completely forgot about the FOB having to be programmed to the bike by the dealer. They use the bar code on the FOB and enter it into the bike with the Digital tech.

They are "supposed" to be switchable between modes. Try this.

Wow, controversy some want the chirp features, Joyflyin amongst others and others don't want it, Goshawk amonst others with a feature to deactivate. Evidence that it doesn't work with older HD bikes (me w/ 2004 who want to install the SmartSiren module if it does) and others like Hobbit who seem to care less either way; so I will ask the million dollar...strike that...the winner to add my hard earned casino bucks to theirs... :s

Does the chirp feature work or not, be programmed to active or not in with armiming sequence, and can it be retrofitted on bikes not equipped with the audiable SmartSiren module portion of the HD OEM alarm system!!! :newsmile07:

LOL, I can say I am happy with my alarm, chirp or no chirp. It still serves the purpose, and it definitely makes a lot of noise if I forget about it.

Thanks Joy, it's looking like my casino bucks may be in jeopardy...I know that my "silent" portion works great...it flashes the warning properly if bike is jostled or ignition turned on while it is armed (and properly deactivates starter and ignition system). :newsmile058:

Now, if I add were to add the $100 audible Smart Alarm Module (...I or II?) and endure the pain of installing it...WILL I hear the siren whenever the alarm is activated and finally is it the I or II that has the programmable activate or deactivate chirp feature? :newsmile042:

My 07 has the chirp feature and the first thing I did when I got it was to get out the owners manual to figure out how to shut the darn thing off! The lights flashing when arming is good enough for me

You need the manual I could scan it as I have a new Siren sitting in the box here waiting to be installed

Hey Glider,

So I took the Sporty back to the dealer and they where really nice about it, they put Digital Technician Mobile on the bike and found that the FOB wasn't being recognized by the bike. So they introduced them and it armed. then they tried to use the Remote Pager II and the FOB got forgotten.

They reprogrammed the FOB back in and said don't use the Pager.

And I can't find the instruction manual for the pager. So the Bike arms now but no pager. I'm going to call HD and see if I can get the manual in Adobe PDF format.
