You might want to try adjusting the carb and especially the fuel/air mixture. Worse case it won't fix the problem but its another maintenence item you will have mastered and its a free solution and you will know its set up right.

Sometimes the ignition module itself fails. Mine went. Idle fine, part throttle fine, WOT not so good. Carb cleaned up, fuel changed, jetting set, problem continued.

Changed out the ignition module, and voila!

(A friend did the diagnosis and fix) I'm not that mechanically inclined.

I found the voe. I had to lift the tank to see it clearly. Now I just have to find the time to check it out.again thanks for the input

sorry it takes so long to get back.
changed plugs, now I changed plugs back to what was in their before .
seems to have taken care of it for the most part. after you asked what has changed that got me thinking,the only thing I have changed other than adjust things to fit me was the plugs and oil's. I did find the voe and tested ok, great learning experiance.Thanks again all knowladge is welcome. Not to say I will retain it
