It may be a good idea to increase the main jet size to the next size up you may also need to go up to the next size of slow jet
best to pull the carb and check the jet sizes and get the next size up for each of the 2 jets and try 1 at a time till its right
fine adjustment can be made by raising the slide needle by placing washers under the clip

Your engine needs back pressure for torque. I would use something like Thunder City Baffles in the pipes, then tune it. Cities and towns are cracking down on straight pipes. Even back in the late 60's and 70's the LEO's were sticking their baton into the loud pipes to see if there was a baffle. If not, then a disturbing the peace citation was issued. People will notice you, even without straight pipes.
