Ive ran pretty much all makes. I prefer the avon venom, good traction wet and dry, decent mileage ( i dont get good mileage out of any rear tire). Get 20k out of front and about 6-8k on the rear of my 02 fxdx (rear stays on the ground more) Then i prefer the stock dunlop d401 15080b16 gets about mileage. Dislike the michelins. ok for a 4 wheeler. sidewalls too soft for me and did not like the wet traction or mileage. Now the best performing tires are the dunlop screamin eagle gt502 150/80b16 rear and gt502f 100/90 19 front.Very expensive but great traction wet and dry but poor mileage, even the front was slick at 9k miles.

Running Dunlop front and rear, the fist set I got 22K on them so I could not fined a good reason to change.

i'm new to the forum.but on my 99flht I had 25,000 miles on my first oem front tire. After 2000 miles on the replacement OEM i noticed cracking right down the center.the dealer said harley doesn't warranty tires, but with a little coaxing I got them to split the cost on the a one.

I run Metzlers and fined that they are very good in the rain. Not as much milage as Dunlop, but do not cost as much either.

I'm still running my Stock tires that came on my 09 FLHR. Having 20,000 miles on the originals and Still good rubber left on the front and rear.. I keep Looking at them and ? soon and I said that 5,000 miles ago I'l Post here when I change them out.... and YES, I will go for the Dunlops replacements with the original 407/408.

signed....BUBBIE :D

At about 16000 miles I had to change my rear tire on my 2008 Electra Glide. Asked around and decided on the Metzler... Big mistake... It's getting decent milage but it slips, it cupped and is noisy (which I'm sure is coming from the cupping)... Got 26000+ on my front and was thinking of changing it but after a closer inspection of the rear I need to change it instead. Not only is it cupped, worn to minimum, and noisy. I also found a crack between the tread in two places... I had no complaints with the Stock Dunlop's... I'm going back to Dunlop's.

'08 SG with 50,300 miles and just did my rear tire today with stock Dunlop. All I've had on the back and average 12,000-15,000 miles on each so far. (Depends on how much chasing Mz Bling I have to do) :)
