And always carry a roll of electrical tape,it's compact size makes it easy to stash with the tools and not only used for wiring,but it is also great for holding the odd part on till you can get a new fastener.No matter how meticulous you are sometime on a longer trip fasteners do fall off

The PM before it breaks is the best advice, except for the flat tire most of the other stuff is somewhat preventable.......
