I usually don't take sides but I just switched from Spectro 6-speed trans oil to Bel Ray trans oil in my 06 Wide Glide. It was a huge improvement in shift quality. No more clunky down shifts and harsh 1st gear engagements. Puzzles me why the difference?

I went w/ Glider's suggestion for Spectro Platinum. My bike calls for the GL-1, though I couldn't find it locally. I did find the GL-5 and am trying it. I like it and certainly noticed a difference.

Mobil 1 gear oil is a good oil but so are others too like the Redline. It can be ordered on the net. Hard to beat the Spectro trans oil.

I am wanting to try the Spectro, but like I said hard to find,I could not find a way to buy it from Spectro from there web page. I put Ams oil 20x50 in the motor and primary case,haven't changed the trans yet.
