Two operating systems - one computer

I have a pretty high end desk top with (EDIT) windows 11 on it. Most of my software, that I spent (EDIT) good money on, wont run on windows 11 thanks to microsucks so am considering putting windows 7 on on it as well, with windows 7 on a completely seperate SSD Drive - that is my thought anyway, so:

1. Can it be done?
2. How do you do it?
3. How do you change from one operating system to the other?

Dual booting between 10 & 11 can be done, but it is a lot of work. If you are not tech savvy, I would suggest that you have someone who is handle this for you:

Before going thru all of this, try running your software in "Compatibility Mode":
