What Is Your Line Of Work

Worked as a hard -rock miner for 30 years in Canada.During that period I rode in the summer on Triumphs at first. Got tired of breaking down with the limeys. Pretty much the same deal with my 1966 Harley RCMP Special but harder to push. Moved into a Goldwing but not exactly a trouble free ride, cracked frames nikel and dime stuff. Went back to Harley .2008 Sportster Low. No more long trips.Im what they call a Tim Hortons doughnut shop biker now.Riding seasons short in the Great White North.Might get a Dyna but the Sportster is fine for me. Plenty fast 1200cc. I like putting in the backroads slowly but fast enough to evade the Blackflies.

20+ yrs in the Exploration drilling industry.
Supervise and Train new Drillers now days.

Trucker for more than a quarter century, all from FL to the West Coast and back... I see there are a couple of ya'll there by my favorite Flying J in Jerome, ID... I usta fuel frequently there at the 173, but sold my truck in May '08 and am attending MMI in Orlando, FL, a.k.a. the Seminary of Black and Orange! Beats loading/unloading cars in Boise in the winter, or having to chain-up to get across the eastern portion of I-84 in Oregon, yee-haaaaaa!!!

Nothin' like remanufacturin' yourself post-40, but it's sure nice sleepin' in the same place every night.

Hope those of you who made the pilgrimage to Daytona had a blast, and a safe trip home... Anyone have one of those huge porkchops they were sellin' at Wise Guys?

Happy Motorin'... -F-
