What Is Your Line Of Work

Spent 10 prime years as a US Army Officer, active duty. Currently an Account Manager for a major manufacturer that builds choo-choos. But my most important job is being a Dad to/for my daughter!

My Father and Mother are both from Eastern,Kentucky a place in Floyd County, Called Maytown, . My father was in the Army and retired back in the 70s. We would often go up to the hills and visit relatives and most of my uncles were coal miner's. and one of them was a truck driver he hauled coal and as a young kid he would alway's take me with him in the coal truck and I thought that was the greatest thing in the world, and I had a dream of being a truck driver. and I followed the dream and here I am years later Stuck in a Rolling prison, sitting in a service plaza in NY.. doing my time.. LOL.. Most people have no idea what trucking is all about , They think that you get out and see the world, We do see alot of the interstate system.. But we also see the bad side of the world and in most places we are treated like the scum of the earth.. Recently out in OK City they had a tornado warning, one had been sighted and this driver was at a Jelly plant and everybody started heading for shelter. He asked the security gaurd if he could go with them. the Gaurd told him to stay in his truck luckly the tornado missed the area, or the driver would have probably been hurt real bad or killed..... Sorry this was so long..Tom

I was a technologist for a big oil company and worked for their research and development labs for 19 years, primarily with lasers, ultra high vacuum systems, and spectroscopy. Got into computers as a hobby and then spent my last few years in information management primarily involved in hardware and software configuration and laboratory instrument - computer interfacing and programming. I retired from them but was bored so went to work for a university doing website development then retired from there after 7 years. I still do a little bit of contract work for a university and do database conversion work.
