Will any auto wax and/or chrome polish work?

Clay bar is just that.
A clay or syn clay that is use with polish and or a lube to finely polish painted
surfaces.
IMO big waste of time on modern paint jobs most of the time.

Not as safe to use a they claim IMO, I have seen some bad results here you go

Smitty, I have use a clay bar on my 08 vivid black EGC about once a year. It does a great job getting rid of all these Florida bugs that get embedded in the paint. I have never had a problem with the clay bar, it's a pretty simple process and don't see how you can get "bad" results. Depending on the condition of the paint, I can see how you might not get any benefit from it but don't see how the clay could be bad. What were the bad results your referring to?

gotta love them advertisments where they are cleaning a clean item, i want to see some action some rough before during and the after math of the process
but some good info thanks, just dont like the ad, good on the how though
