Wiring on Drag Specialties tach on 2005 fxsts

Trying to install tachometer on my 2005 fxsts & looking to find what wire (& where) to tap into for tach signal. My bike doesn't have the infamous Pink wire under dash that Harley had prewired on some other years that some have suggested. I have all the other wires installed..appreciate any help here.

Is it possible they stuffed the pink wire in the headlight bucket?

Look for the gray wire. Trace it to ignition. You want tach on switched circuit. I'm going off memory, so verify on wiring diagram.

I assume the tach is low current draw. I would investigate how much current it draws before tapping into any circuit.

Another option would be to run a new wire and protect the circuit with a fuse based on current draw.
