Congrats to him and you. Please thank him for his service. Just wondering why is he getting out at 10 years? He has finished the hard part and is half way to retirement and a decent retirement check.

He's thought about that and his next duty station will be for 6 years and his oldest daughter will be graduating High School at that time and so he's concerned what will be best for her going on to college. They sure won't want to leave her behind, she may not want to go.

Congratulations XL, enjoy you son and let him know how appreciative we all are for his service to our country...Be safe and enjoy your time together.

When the excitement of his return settles down, please give him a handshake for my wife and I, and our thanks for his service. I know the decision to stay in or leave is difficult. May I just add that my wife is retired USAF, and her govt. check allows her to work at a job she truly loves, but does not pay well and doesn't have benefits.

Congrats to you for getting your son back by your side. Thanks to your son for keeping this country safe. I hope there are many miles on the Harleys in sight for the both of you.

I know how you feel about your son. Thank him for his service. My son just left again for a tour over seas. This time he chose to go to Afganistan. He said that he can make a difference. Enjoy your boy being home.

Big Thanks for all who have served and are currently serving

It is not about the day's you have lost with him...but what you do with the day's to come!!...enjoy!

XLCruiser, can really see this as a red letter date for you and your family. Thank your son for his service and look forward to more time together.:bigsmiley24::bigsmiley24:
