What a Wonderful reunion that will be. Thank-You & your family for raising a son that has fought to protect our country ! Thank your son from myself & my family. Praise God !!

never served and always regretted that. This is without a doubt, THE greatest country in existence as far as I'm concerned. Just lost my Dad last week. Served in WWII and fought over in Leytey Gulf in the Phillipines. There ain't many of those codgers left anymore. He never talked about it...ever. Never pushed us kids into serving either and I was busy doing other non-productive things with my time...and never served this great country.

Always admired those who have served and are serving. Let your boy know that there are those who appreciate what he's doing..and may the angels always ride shotgun with him. :)

Thanks everybody for you blessings. He went from a boy to a man in there and I'm am looking forward to getting to know him and my grandchildren, two of which I've never met. I talked to my second born son last night and it would seem he too is feeling the calling. He told me it is his intention to join the Army and do his part. I wonder if this is how my folks felt when I went in 70.

XL; nothing better than reuniting w/family after a long & hazardous military separation. Soak it all in b/c it's a wonderful & joyous time. I know my two long deployments left many dark holes back home & I can't thank my wife enough for keeping things together. Separations are the hard part, but getting back home safe is the best.

Alot of people don't realize how important & dangerous USCG service can be. Had a few friends in DC who served on costal boats & they pretty much had shots fired on every trip. Drug lords don't protect their goods w/pop guns.:mgun

Thanks to your son for protecting our water borders & hats off to you for bringing another gr8 service member in to protect us.:small3d022:
