Just had 5k service done went with Mobil 1 V-twin for crank, Redline shock in the Trans, spectro primary chaincase in primary for now. Gonna try spectro 6 speed trans oil per Glider on next service. Must be something in it special. I had Lucas 20w50 in crank, Lucas gear oil 75w145 in trans, spectro in primary for 1k to 5k.

I think you'll like the Spectro in the trans. I switched from Redline and stayed with Spectro platinum.

Great stuff, all... I've used Mobil 1 products for years (except for my VTX-1300--transmission and crankcase shared fluids, so I used Delvac 5W-40) and plan on doing so now. I wish I'd read this before having my 1000 mile service done. The guy behind the counter told me I shouldn't put synthetic oil in the bike until after the 5000 mile service. I habitually change the oil before stashing the bike for the winter. Will probably do the same this year. Again, thanks for all the GREAT info!

i just changed my engine oil to mobil-1 v-twin 20-50 AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!!. better oil psi,quieter motor,big improvement.

Same here too. Mobil-1 V-Twin in the motor. Mobil-1 75W140 in the trans and a conventional mobil-1 10W40 in the primary.
