Engine Oil Poll

I used Amsoil in all three holes because of the results I saw in this poll. I run a 99' RK Twin 88. The trans oil I drained was discolored, had a few metal particles, and it was hard to shift into neutral.

Was that before or after using the Amsoil?

Engine - Mobil 1 V-Twin full synthetic oil.
Primary - Any good quality Dino oil 10/40 wt. (synthetics are too slippery)
Transmission - Royal Purple 85/140 Max Gear full synthetic oil.

Just went to the new oils.
Been using HD Syn 3 until now.

RevTech 20w50 every 2500 miles. No concerns with this oil from me.

Just switched to mobil 1 v twin 20/50, was on dino oil before. Engine is quieter now and runs about 10 degrees cooler according to my oil filler gauge.

And on your recommendation:

I have four quarts of Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w-50 sitting in my garage awaiting a final oil change before leaving for Sturgis. I look forward to the confidence I will have on the road.

Mobile 1 full syn 15w-50, in the engines.

Engine Oil => Shell Rotella T 15W40
Tranny => Harley

Engine Oil => Shell Rotella T 15W40
Tranny => Harley

The Rotella is a good oil but there are better weight choices than the 15/40 for the air cooled motor as well as they choice in the trans. I realize Harley suggests the use of it in a situation where others aren't available but in a hot climate especially a 20/50 would be a better choice.
