Is a Sportster a "real" Harley?

Is that because they leave an oil spot everywere they go?

What determines between Ironhead and Shovelhead? Is it the year? Mine drops a tiny bit of oil wherever I go.

if you are really in doubt i would check the title. It will tell you what make of bike it is.:s

And were they riding a Yamaha or a Honda when they asked this question? Been riding Harleys for 38 years. FL, Sportster, Fatboy. What do I ride now......Sportster. Why? I'm 5'5" and it fits me well. True Harley riders don't care what you ride.
