Thank you guys for your welcome, good to be here. A fantastic range of location in US, Canada, Scotland and now France.....brilliant....

Brian (fin).....I have put 2 VR'S on mine also.....draining batteries seems to be common perhaps.

The current (excuse the pun) problem, is I think, leading to yet another new VR (making the 4th from new in 23 years...!).

I have had my bike for only 9 years but last vr lasted about 4 years so perhaps I need to keep one in my spares stock other 2 bikes have had no charging issues just the softail

Hi guys,
Not sure if I thought I should start a whole new thread or just add on this one, with an update on the VR situation......
I fitted a replacement this afternoon......battery at full charge, reading 12.75 volts.
Running up to, and at fairly high revs.....charging at 14.56 volts consistently.
So thank goodness, the old girl is once again mobile....
