Oil level

Is 3-1/2 quarts enough for oil change? My 05 glide takes 4 quarts exactly. I suggest a long interstate ride. Long consistent heat is good for the whole motor including rings and seals. I suggest several hundred miles in a day. Engines clearances are engineered to run at the operating temperature for proper thermal expansion. I have stopped new oil usage in cars and trucks with a long hard trip more than once. Good luck.

the only way to see if you are burning some oil is have someone ride behind you and grab a little throttle hear and there from a 35-45 coast and see if it puffs blue?? or remove plugs and maybe 1 cylinder is more black than the other good luck
