View attachment 3641Just returned from my first bike show this season.took a first home in the custom class. I missed best of show by 4 votes, the bike that took home best of show was a Big Bear Venom pro street with a 127 el bruto engine. This may sound like sour grapes but I fail to see a production chopper as a custom, you can't buy custom, you build custom, you can buy custom parts and you can buy custom paint, but it's still taking the little pictures swirling around in your head and adding 2 wheels to them that makes it custom. Ploping down $30,000 and rolling away with it does'nt make it custom, not when the next sucker through the door with large pockets can roll away with the same bike. If you walk into the shop, polp down 30 grand and an idea and someone else builds your bike, that might show a lack of skill, but it's still your bike, one of a kind, thats custom, If you spend countless hours sanding, molding, and test fitting parts,THATS CUSTOM.
