Oh Man I am going to be so full, this is going to be a blast. I got the bike ready, shined on it today as it got a bit messed up wrestling with the tires and new fluids (needed rear brakes too). It has been every bit as warm up here as down there (except for today). Just had to do the maintenance while it was warm. We calll it the January thaw.

Got a new rear tire and rear brakes picked it up today, but it's iffy day so didn't get to ride, only up and down the trailer ramp. So I believe the bike is ready to go to Salt Springs...it's getting close!

I guess I'll have to wait until mid January when my February schedule is final before committing. Hopefully there will still be a cabin available at that time.

Update for everyone.

Got my schedule worked out just fine, but.....family matters preclude my joining you this year. My wife's slowly getting over several weeks of sinus infection + pneumonia. She looked at the time off on my schedule and declared, "It sure would be nice if the 2 of us could get away to somewhere nice and warm for a couple days." We've been married for over 32 years so I knew she wasn't talking about a cabin at Salt Springs! LOL!!!

Anyway, just got done booking our flight and hotel for 5 days in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Never been so we're really looking forward to some sun and relaxation, good food and lots of cervaza and tequila!

Smoke a cigar for me and give my best to Ken's friends and family.

I keep trying to get a nice Phoenix layover but they go real senior in the winter. Go figure!
