Weather became the deciding factor in my Departure. Possible snow on Saturday and Sunday with Monday (my original departure day) a 7° start temperature. I think I hit rain later in Texas but that is the lesser evil...it will be windy. I will try to get to Canyon State park south of Childress Friday. Or a Super 8 there. That is all over

Well, I changed my route again. I'll take 1½ days to get to OK City and hunker down with the Grandkids over the weekend while it rains and then head to Dallas.Lufkin. Hopefully this is my last upgrade. Thanks for the well wishes, always nice to have those.

Me Too Tank. I spent months dry running the route and avoiding big cities and now I get OK City and Dallas /FT Worth. Who know maybe New Orleans or Baton Rouge will make the route by the time I get to Mississippi...

Baton Rouge will be OK if you get through there before 3:00pm. Study the ramp off the River bridge to 10 east. A little confusing the first time. When you cross the bridge be in the right hand lane. You will see a couple of signs and the road will y. Take the right split and it will be 2 lanes. Get into the left lane and it will continue on I-10. The right lane is an exit. Confused??

Guess who got to go to North Dakota yesterday on a rush.....yup me..:bigsmiley25: i am head back on Sunday so will be in Lufkin on Monday still will be ready to go....only thing that might be effected is the rum. and yes it is cold
