Down loaded new google chrome and now I can watch videos on windows vista

Be careful with Chrome it has a lot of bugs and security holes. It is still new.

agreed, have heard its not bug free yet.

I have Vista on a laptop and am sorely tempted to go back to XP.
Vista and laptops dont seem to get along.

Make sure that you uninstall and reboot first. Then re-install ActiveX 10. Right click on the file and choose "run as administrator" reboot your machine. I do not believe you have a video driver issue, or you would be experiencing other video issues, not just in ActiveX. IE8 is most problematic with ActiveX. I use FireFox and have no problems. Make sure you also have the latest version of Java installed. and go to Firefox, add-ons for all adobe related plug-ins for Firefox. Hope this helps you.
