2009 Street Glide Improvements over 2008

I some what agree.
Another way to look at is if you wait on some of the mods you keep the bike fresh. What I mean is you chnage it up a bit in 6 months a year kind of like getting a new bike. Something to look forward too .
Alos when you add a truck load of MODs day 1 you pay a lot of intrest on those mods. If you do them over time you get the new toy joy and less $$ out of pocket .
Thats just my way of looking at it.
Are you going there today ?

Sometime this afternoon. here is my list.

I'm using the 2000 in dealer cash plus 20%

Rush slip-ons with heavy breather
mustang solo seat with pillion
Removable backrest and luggage rack
color fairing and speaakers
spoked wheels

Will be a nice bike, Only one I would not do myself would be the spoke wheels. I will never go back to them :)
And with the ABS wheel swaps get more expensive than before were they could just change something out off the floor.
MY 07 RG had them aready dealer mod, I switched them to the same rims that are on you SG. Care and cleaning is so easy none of the spoke problems.
Give me a yell when you head over there maybe I'll run into town.

Chris mentioned that you had stopped by. I didn't end up getting there until 1:30 or so and they closed at 2.

Well I did it! After taking a close look at the wheels, I decided to go with the stock black wheels. I have to change my profile as I'm a SG Wannabe no more. I am now the proud owner of an 09 tricked out Red Sunglo. I will have a better idea next week when it will be ready. They will be storing it for me until the weather breaks.

Thanks to you and everyone else on this forum for helping a rookie Harley rider out!

Good deal the bike look great I know I have seen it :)
I hope my friends at Mishlers treated you well they always done right with me
Now if we clear up the weather you can ride

Chris took care of me all right. He even stayed after close to finalize everything. They are going to store the bike upstairs until the weather breaks. We'll have to go for a cruise...

Hey wrightj123, it was great to finally meet you today and help you get your Street Glide. I think it's going to look great with the painted inner fairing and the Mustang Seat setup!

Chris all we need to do now is get this winter over clear the salt off the road so he ride it.
I have an Idea Take some shots of the Mods being done to it and Post them as it done.
By the way remember talking about the old Fb Snowmobile

Thanks to both of you for setting me up with a great bike!

Chris, I'm going to give you a call Monday as I have a few questions and mabye a few changes now that you gave me that parts catalog......

So I guess It's better I leave the bike at the dealers instead of taking it out on the first warm day in February....

Ha ha, yes indeed wrightj123. Wait to ride your Street Glide until the salt is gone.

It will be painful, trust me. My Dyna is sleeping sweetly in my Garage and I look at it everyday wishing. Smitty is right though. If you get that salt on that bike, even after a good bath, the consequences can be horrible and quite costly.

After reading gliders break-in routine, I'm not going to take a zero miles bike and drive it 1.5 hours going 50 to 60 mph. The dealer has to get my trade-in with a trailor anyways so I will have them deliver my new bike. I will wait for the weather to break and for a good few rains to wash away the salt.

I cant seem to be able to figure out how to post a new title, so here goes an attempt at getting your input.

The wife is complaining that she doesnt have as much room between us on the glide as she did on the deuce. This is strange but true. You'd think on a touring bike there would be more not less room for the passenger.

So I'm trying to figure out how to make her more comfy and with these new detachables, it looks like my only option is to cut, extend and re-chrome the sissy bar so its a little further back.

Am I the only one with this problem? I think I will send an email to HD consumer affairs too and see what they say about this problem.

Maybe this will help you out.
