2009 Street Glide Improvements over 2008

Assemble Pompano Harness Track 7- 9am. Depart 9:45 I-95 to I-595 (also shut down to cars) out to Markham Park.

Wow...that was awesome and quick....but a simple in Florida would have been sufficient enough for me, which is about 20 hours too far for me to even think about attempting..... :D

I was only asking as I travel the Northern Virginia sections of I-95 almost everyday.

My sissy bar setup and freedom wings are being delivered today so I wanted to wait till I had all this stuff done before posting the pics.

What is your sissy bar setup if you don't mind telling me. I would like to get the same setup as you. Thanks in advance

Hope this helps.[/QUOTE]

Thanks for the quick reply. I live just west of Milwaukee. There are Harley dealers everywhere and I'm getting quotes for an 09 SG just like yours with Rush Slipons and a screamin eagle heavy breather.

I'm taking advantage of the trade-in deal Harley is offering on my 08 sportster that my wife gave me for my 50th birthday. As soon as I saw the picture of your bike I was hooked.

Thanks again.

ITS THE "STANDERD HEIGHT" ONE FROM HD WITH A HD PAD. I GOT THE ONE THAT MOST RESEMBLED THE STICHING ON THE MUSTAMG SEAT.

I really like the solo look of your bike. At most my wife would only be riding with me about every other weekend.

I'm checking out about 6 dealers nearby to see what the best deal is. So far I have an offer of
Base MSRP
20% off on Harley accessories
15% off on other brands like Mustang
15% off labor
No freight / prep.

I don't know if I can get better than that.

You should get a 1500 to 2000 gift card with it check out
Mishlers HD in Beaver Dam. Not far from Milwaukee
In Milwaukee area you never pay freight or prep the 20% is standard
I just checked Mishlers they have a 2000 dollar card with the 09's

Thanks. I'll check into that.

It is a bit of a drive but for 2000 it would be worth it. Every Milwaukee dealer has brought up about 800 in freight and prep. I think they do that to make you feel like you're getting a deal.

<< snip >>

I see the info on their website. I am using the promotion where they will give me the MSRP I paid for my sportster if I trade up. It states it cannot be used with any other promotion but i'll give them a call.

Thansk again

Give them a shot I have known them along time they been here 50 years.
I work in Milwaukke and have shopped every dealer in the area they have always done right by me. Milwaukee HD over on Silver Spring just never got the price right for me.
You da man!!!

Mischlers gave me a quote 2 grand lower than any Milwaukee dealer. They will pick up my sportster with a trailor and either drop off the new bike or store it for free until the weather breaks! I sent the quote to my local dealer and they will match Mischlers quote!

Maybe I should hold out for a break on my 1000 mile service but they already said they are basically giving me $2000 to buy the bike so I don't know how much more I can squeeze out of the deal.

This is great as I was adding about $2000 in accessories so I am all set!

Like I said they have always done right by me
Why not go with the dealer that did right by you from the start ?
Mishlers are great people
They are 1.5 hours away from here. I have to think about that one.

Showing up for local service after bailing on them would be tough. The saleswoman I have been dealing with locally has been a lot of help. Within an hour of my quote form Mischlers, she matched it.

I would agree with smitty all the way.I have found that Milw.Harley will only deal when you let them know that you can do better else where.I have been to all of the local dealers and the place that I do my business is up in Manitowoc. In fact Milw.Harley would be my last choice.Surburban would be a better.I personally will take the hour drive up
Hwy 43.Stopping in sheboygan along the way just to get myself in check.
