Do you do the "biker wave" at Sport Bike Riders?

I wave at them all, many moons ago I used to ride a Kawasaki EX500 when I was in the Navy was a good starter bike and was affordable.

Once and a while, I'll pull out the Ninja, when I feel like I need a jolt of adrenaline. I "biker wave" on that, too, but don't get the wave back from v-twins like I do on the HD (even though I wearing a German helmet).
I think many HD riders feel a little higher on the food chain. Our bikes cost more, we (should) have more understanding as to how our machines work, and our bikes are rolling history (the engines are still 100 year old technology). I'm not saying it's right to snub other riders (and I don't) but I do feel a little classier on the HD.

Here's my question for the thread; why isn't there a different wave to let oncoming riders know about a speed trap you just passed?

different wave to let oncoming riders know about a speed trap you just passed? I thought it was tapping the top of your helmet to warn of The man.

Yes. Yes and Yes! I always wave if I am not busy or at least nod an acnowledgement to a fellow motorcyclist. I feel strongly that we are a brother & sisterhood and a wave is a small sign of commonality and acceptance. After all, the road/Volvo - whatever... is no softer for a jap bike or scooter rider than it is for a Harley rider. I will also always stop to help out another rider regardless of bike type.

I wave at anyone riding on three wheels or less; as i don't care who made who's bike....
but i have noticed that some riders (proportionaly most on v-twins) are too cool to wave back. Younger men on cafe bikes are most responsive to courteous "waves".....

I wave to all riders also. the way i figure it were all on the road dodging the same cagers. I especially like pulling up to a stop light next to a moped. I get a good laugh at them. But to each his own.

I wave to all up on two and three wheels. And I also wave to the driver who waited to make a left turn or the driver who didn't come out of the side road in front of me!!!

I always give the biker wave to all and on a 4 lane just eye contact and a courtesy nod. Just tryin to be nice to all and if they don't wave back, so what.
