Here is a nugget for you all. I am going from Amsoil used Mobil 1 V-Twin in last bike was great, but everyone over looks this oil and it is made by Mobil. It is Mobile Delvac Super 1300. Here is a little info on it and it cost way less and performs better.

Extra High Performance Diesel Engine Oil

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 is an extra high performance diesel engine oil that helps extend engine life and drain intervals in the most severe on and off-highway applications. The advanced chemistry of this product delivers exceptional performance in both modern high-output, low-emission engines including those with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) as well as older engines operating on low or higher sulfur fuel. As a result, this product meets or exceeds the new API CI-4 service category and JASO industry specifications.

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 is recommended for use in a wide range of heavy-duty applications and operating environments found in the trucking, mining, construction, quarrying, and agricultural industries. This product also meets the latest API specifications for gasoline engines and mixed fleets.

The outstanding performance reserve of Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 is the result of extensive cooperative development work with major OEMs and advanced additive chemistry with patented Trimer technology. These enhancements assure excellent control of oil thickening due to soot buildup and exposure to higher temperatures and provide outstanding resistance to oxidation, corrosion, wear, and high temperature deposits. Due to its unique formulation, it also meets the more demanding SAE 10W cold temperature pumping requirements.

Probably because it was formulated for aircraft which require a different formulation due to the conditions of use.

Yo Glider. As an aircraft mechanic, I think I might be on to something here. Both types of engines run constant speeds for long durations and need an oil for high pressure use. Not a salesman but think someone has tried it before.

As a recip aircraft mechanic myself in the service, there are quite a difference in just the operating temps alone and also Harleys don't run at a constant speed either, if they did they would blow up :lolrolling

Anybody else care to weigh in on the aircraft oil question? Anybody try it?
How about the KN oil filters?

Noone else is weighing in because Glider has spoken - end of argument! :D

Unless you're saving tons of money, why would you want to put something in your bike that wasn't designed to be there? Even at a significant savings, I wouldn't do it.
