GOOD Dealers And Experiences

When I walked in my local dealer in London England I had a quick look round and the sales guy asked me if I wanted a coffee, which was a nice touch, even though I know it means I aint going far for the next 15 minutes now.I told him what bike i'd got and what bikes I had in mind, and I took my time sitting on the different models. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and at no point did I feel pressured. Then I saw the street bob that I have now bought,we cut a good deal, and I squeezed a couple of goodies out of him as well,so for me a good experience.

I have been procrastinating buying a GPS for my bike (i.e. being cheap as it is not a necessity) but my Mrs. and I are doing a road trip to Ohio this June for our vacation and I don't want our first long ride together to be a flop so I started window shopping on the web last night. I found a HD Road Tech Zumo 550 on e-bay being sold by a dealer. Called my quasi local dealer; Rochester HD and told the parts manager what I found one for and he not only beat the best price I could find on the web but sold the unit and handlebar mount for about $150.00 under MSRP… This is the second time they have beat a quoted parts price by someone else.

I've been through A LOT of dealers around the U.S. and I would drive the two + hours to Sauk City HD in Wisconsin any time! Terry in service, Virgil in Sales, and Gary in parts are just the tip of the iceberg there in Sauk City. Cudos!

That's great to hear! Especially since they are my local dealer. So far nothing but good experiences with them here.

I have had a moan about a couple of dealers in UK I have had a bad experience with, I felt it only fair to point out a couple of good ones.

Oxford HD is quite good, friendly knowledgeable staff but by far the best I have come accross so far is Cheltenham HD in Gloucestershire. I am probably a little biased as it is rapidly becoming a second home and I am now on first name terms with the majority of the staff, but if the welcome had not been as good as it was and the staff had not been as helpful as they are I would never have gone back - I'm like that.

Century Harley Davidson Medina Ohio

Bob the owner of the place is a real nice guy. We purchased these bikes from them

2005 Heritage Softail Classic
2005 Screamin Eagle Fatboy
2003 Dyna Glide (FXDX with a ton of custom work)
2005 Sportster 1100 Custom

The first bike we purchased from them was the Heritage Softail Classic. Great experience, they installed any after purchase parts at the time of pruchase for 0 labor cost and 20 percent off all parts and even threw in a couple of t-shirts.

The next bike was a new sprotster for the wife, same deal. They spent a ton of time with her trying out different seats and handlebar set ups and adjusting everything to fit her properly, she is only 5 foot tal and wieghs in at about 110lbs. They really helped her to fit the bike to her.

After about 2 months of riding, she still felt like it was just too top heavy for her. She had her eye on this used 03 FXDX with a sweet paint job on it in the parking lot. Well, Bob actually purchased the sporty back from her for the same amount of money we paid for it and accepted our offer on the used Dyna after a little bit of haggling.

I also then went and purchased my CVO fatboy from them, it just jumped at me while I was browsing, 2 days later the owner calls and tells me he will sell it to me a few grand below MSRP cus we are such great customers if I want it. SOLD, picked it up the same day.

I would recommend this dealership to ANYONE. The parts guys know what they are talking about and the service department is TOP notch!

Amen 09Ultra! I live about 20 minutes from Mischlers but choose to go to Sauk even though it is about an hour away. Bought my first new Harley from Jeremiah and all of the guys you named have been top notch! Wolf even took the time to chat while I was procrastinating which bike to buy. I happily spend my money there because they appreciate the business and go out of their way to make you feel like family. BTW, you forgot Chantel in motorclothes! Cheers!

I bought a used wide glide from Black Diamond HD in Marion Illinois a week later the voltage regulator quit so i called them and they said they would sent me a new one 5 days later no part so i called them and they said they would overnight it. The next day a knock on the door the dude standing there said ups does not overnight to my house so the owner tad his buddy drive the part to my house. I live 135 miles from the dealership. The owner said since i was nice enough to drive 135 miles to buy a bike the least he could do was get me the part i needed. All at no charge to me.:newsmile036: Thats service after the sell.

After setting up an appt. to check on the D407F front tire for my 09 RKC, a friend and I took off last Thursday to see what they would do. I told the service writer, Chris about the chopping of the tread, noise like a wheel bearing going bad at highere speeds and asked about the fuel tank mount recall. They took the bike into the service area and we went to the showroom for some coffee, we started looking arround to see if anything needed to go home with us, after about a 2 hr wait with no update I went back into the service area and found Dave, the service manager, and asked about my bike. He said it should be outside getting detailed, and it was. They replaced the front tire, wheel bearings and installed the recall kit for the fuel tank front supports. All for 0$'s
