CropdusterDoug Member Dec 24, 2010 #183 At the high elevation where I live, the engine isn't capable of putting out more than 75% of it's rated power. Because of that, I usually use 87 Octane. No pinging even at full throttle. However, at lower elevations, I use 89 Octane.
