Motorcycle Adventure To California

Excellent commentary and pictures. I looked forward daily to reading and following your trip. I can't do it this year but hopefully soon. Thanks for keeping us along and I'm glad you made it home safely. Thanks also to your brother in law for that too cool website. Only one question is when are you doing it again? Thanks, Buck

Wow .. it's almost sad to see your trip end, Pru. I've been following it and it
would be nice to just have the time to do that. Your pics and commentary
have been terrific.

Thanks

RT

Mad Dog, although I am sure glad you are now @ home safe and sound, I am going to miss your daily updates of one incredible trip. Thank you SO much for sharing this adventure with all of us here @ HDT, we are in your debt. You can bet that if I ever get the chance to travel in your direction, I will be stopping by to buy you a beer, and meet the man that has made so many of us smile.

Bill

I'm sad and happy that Mad Dog's trip has successfully ended. I'm sad it's over and I won't be able to follow his adventures. I'm happy he is home safe and sound.

It was a pleasure meeting him in Santa Maria, California. I hope to be able to get further east than South Dakota one of these years so that I can see Mad Dog again. He's a great guy and a real gentleman.

Ride safely, Mad Dog. You have inspired a lot of us to finally stop putting off what we have always dreamed about doing.

Glad you had a safe trip, I followed your trip everyday and really enjoyed it. Really enjoyed your web site also and hope that someday will be able to do what you have done. Thanks for taking us along with you. :D

Well, for someone "cyber challenged," you showed us that it's easy to learn. I hope I don't offend anyone, but I doubt anyone will ever be able to document a journey as timely, eloquently, and pictorially as you did. Evidently, many of us came in at night, or got up in the morning to check your progress. Your journey has done more to inspire me to take a cross country journey on a motorcycle more than anything else. One thing I must say though, as gorgeous, vast, and as historical as the western U.S. is, the east, north, and south are just as magnificent, including your home state of Virginia. We are so blessed in this country to have the freedom to ride to all kinds of topography throughout the U.S.A. Best of all, riding a Harley gives us a wonderful connection through fellow H-D riders and the dealerships, no matter where we go.

Pru, You are an inspiration to us all "the little train that said I can". My friends and I are planning a trip such as yours for next summer (kind of a Wild Hogs group) and I can only hope and pray that it will be half as good as yours was. I am glad you are home safe but as many have stated, sad at the same time. I arose each morning and sprinted to the web to see what and where you where each day. Now it looks as though it will be another BLAH day of work, nothing to talk about at the water cooler. Ahhh but the memories of the ride you have shared with us all will have to sustain us till we each make our own journey. Again thanks for the ride and Semper Fi.

Welcome home Pru. Like the others have said here, thanks for the trip. Having done a similar trip a couple of times, I know how great it is to pull into the driveway at home. Although, it doesn't take long for the road to start pulling at you again. :bigsmiley30:
