I agree with Smitty. It's all about control and the government's attempt to ban riders from making their own decision. Don't get me wrong, I wear a helmet, even though my state doesn't have such a law. Generally speaking, a helmet simply determines whether the funeral is open casket or closed casket. You know as well as anyone it has nothing to do with safety they could care less.
It is about control they need to take more control so the can regulate every area of your life.
If the washington crowd decides they want you will get stuck with just a madder of time they will find away to force it on the states.
I wear one but don't think they have a right o force it.
You mean restrict our entitled youth who are always on the move and can do no wrong and do not have to be responsible for their actions??????Want to save some lives and have fewer needless accidents? How about a FEDERAL "teeny-bopper on the cell phone" law.
Another look at stats and studies for safety.
Please, take care of yourself this Christmas. A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicle safety indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related. This means that the remaining 77% are caused by drivers who drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juice, milk, water, etc..... Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol, they are causing three times as many accidents.
