The length of the fuel line is a factor. There's no room to spare. I wonder if an extender is available....there's also the electrical connection from the harness to the tank that is limited. I wonder if anyone has built such a gizmo that would allow this?

Call the dealer and talk to a tech. The factory hot fires each engine so there has to be a way it can be done for a minimum cost and safely JMO

I did...they weren't much help. Said "you'd have to build something"....duh

You said things are pretty tight but couldn't you roll a couple of towels and stuff them under the front and rear? You don't have to get the tank up much just enough to isolate it from the frame and mounts.
