I was a devoted BMW guy i have owned 9 BMW oil and air heads and a K75 i finally got tired of BMW'S attitude and labor prices and excuses for not backing their product's I came home 6 yrs ago and could not be more satisfied , I still have a BSA Goldie in the back room.
Started off on British bikes during the late '60s and early '70s. You could always tell when you were out of oil because they would stop leaving a puddle underneath. Moved on to pretty well every kind of Japanese bike, all very good machines. Last one was an '84 Yamaha Virago, a very classy bike and I still have her and she still runs and sounds great. Retired her in '07 and bought an Electra Glide Classic. Put so many miles on it that I traded it on a new '09 in January. Only had it out once but those 200 kilometres were sure sweet.
1st bike was a 77 KZ-1000 and bike I ran for the last 14 years was a 1996 Honda Goldwing.. Just picked up a used '08 Ultra Classic and now got the old horse up for sale..with a tear in my eye I might add.. The GW performed and handled exceptionally well for a big bike. I'm new to the HD family, and after just a few weeks of tooling around on it, I now see why my buddies I rode with just cruised it when we'd hit the road. I was busy busting the twisties while they'd happily cruise along. I can tell on the UC that the days of hitting the twisties are gone.. probably a good thing as I get a bit older -
