I thought you were supposed to wax then pledge. I tell ya, LOL, what a fetish! I've had metrics all my life and never have I EVER been so,.....(EDIT) (can I say that here?(Nope)) about a bike! I've never loved a scooter as much as this!

Thanks for the Pledge idea. When I was a kid I used to sneak my mom's pledge for my hot rod, it was free and worked really well. I had the cleanest car at high school. After I got some money I started buying stuff that was more expensive and forgot about the Pledge. I have been using products from Griots which works really well but costs a lot more. I'm going back to keeping a can of pledge wrapped up in a cloth with me all the time from now on.

I had to read all the posts before i would believe it, you sold me. My bike is only 1 month old and is still very shinny ( lots of snow in alberta ) i will try the pledge challange before it gets dirty. Thanks for the tip .
 
new to motorcycles cleaning and bike maintenance. have been using S100 and have had mixed opinions on how well it works. i tend to get water spots, is this normal? anything reccomended for normal washes?

I use S100 when my bike is really dirty, but you have to rinse it off thoroughly and then dry the bike (I use a blower) or you will get water spots. Pledge works great to bring out the shine and get rid of any water spots after washing.
 
I use Simple green to clean Mequires clean and wax when I need a deep clean on the Paint and I use Nanowax for all other times on the paint it is made by eagle and is the best i've used for a quick clean and shine. Neverdull for the deepclean sessions on the chrome and Mequirs chrome polish any other time.:42::42:
