Do you wear a helmet?

Always wear a full face. Too concerned about all the crazy drivers out there. That and taking bugs to the face at 75 is not my idea of fun.

Myself and my wife always wear a helmet. It's the law up here, but I would wear one regardless. I wear a half helmet and my wife wears a modular fullface.

I live in Palmetto Florida now. Used to live in Sterling Hts., Mi. I always wear a helmet although it's not required. When getting your bike insured they do not ask wheater you wear a helmet or not. After losing sight in one eye a year ago, I feel the helmet with the face shield is the smart way to go.l

I found a post that asked this question, but it was from 2006 so I figured we were due. :naughty So...do you wear a helmet, if so what type of helmet do you prefer? I know some states have laws, Colorado does not.

I wear a helmet when I am in uniform (because I have to), when I'm riding on base (which I hate to do), and when it is very cold outside. Other than that I really don't. It's mostly because of the heat. Same in Iraq, I rarely wear my issued helmet. I've been active duty for going on 11 years now and our helmets are the best right now they have ever been. That helmet, plus gear, plus 120 degree heat...I hate it. Anyway..... the distraction from the heat of the helmet is why I don't wear one. I know full well the reasons I should, I just choose not to. Maybe if I found a good one, that didn't cost as much as my bike, or a half helmet that didn't make my head look like a bubble, I would wear one all the time. So how about you?

Guess I am always the politically incorrect one but I refuse to wear a helmet. The whole thrill of riding to me is the risk I take every time I put that kickstand up. I know it is very probable that I can be hurt very seriously without a helmet. I also know that I can be hurt very seriously with one as well. There was a guy her last week that got knocked of his bike by a deer then ran over by the car behind him, when the helmet that saves me from such accidents goes into production I will reconsider my ill will towards helmets.

I live in Kentucky and there is no helmet law. I wear a full face when not hot and a very light carbon fiber helmet with no padding that fits tight to my head in the hot weather.

Sometimes when I ride in groups I don't wear one at all.

I cannot bring myself to wear the leather coat gloves when it is 90+

I wear a helmet because of the law, I have ridden without one which was good - maybe the law is a good idea, because when it's hot, or you can't be bothered, or someone offers you a lift etc. you'd not wear it - then if the worst happened..........!!
