GOOD Dealers And Experiences

Muskegon MI's "Hot Rod HD": my my, can't say enough about their great attitude, knowledge of m/c in general, and the "we care" greetings everytime I walk through the door. I make a point not to have gotten to know "ownership" folks, but instead the service guys, the sales guys, and the clothing sales-ladies. In gratitude to them, I dropped off a hundred Chicken WINGS at lunch time recently. Maybe it's a one-of-a-kind HD place to me, but after buying two 09 scooters there (SG & EG), they treat me like everyone else, and that's super! I highly recommend them. (IMHO) :42:

Sauk Prairie HD gets my vote! I have a dealer 5 minutes from here but I choose to ride and hour to get to Sauk. They honored the Harley Sportster promotion and gave me a ridiculous trade towards my new SG. Jeremiah, Curt, Al, Sheri, Maggie, Mark, Brad, Chanel and the owner Virgil all went out of their way to answer all my questions, get me a GREAT price on the exact bike I wanted, and threw in some chrome and a free security system. I've only been there twice (once to buy and 4 days later to pick up) but the experience was that great, I can't wait to go back (Saturday March 21st for Open House). I highly recommend them.

Last summer I fulfilled a lifelong dream purchased my first Harley. I got an 2008 883 at Boston Harley Davidson in Everett MA. It is owned by Bruce Rossmeyer. I was treated like a king and I did not have one complaint.
This year I decided to trade up with the promotion Harley was offering with sportster trade ins. I Just purchased a 2009 Street Glide. I went back to Boston Harley because of how I was treated. To me saving a few bucks does not mean anything if you are not treated the way you should be.
There are a few dealerships in the area and I was not impressed at all and even almost insulted as a consumer. If you feel a rough tough attitude is good for business, then get ready for the unemployment line. Customer service is EVERYTHING to me. I own a small business and have built it on taking care of my clients. My salesman walked me over to the service dept and made sure I knew who worked there as well as the parts dept. They were genuinely glad to meet me and made me feel like family, welcoming me aboard. For this, if I even wanted to buy a t-shirt Ill take the ride to Bruce Rossmeyer Harley in Everett Ma.
If you are in the area and doing research...Visit them

Bought an 08 ultra at seacoast in north hampton new hampshire...bike was titled and sold as used...so less time on warranty....good price...good staff...went to the parts department today for the first time..was pleased...staff is enthusiastic about selling, which rubs me a bit...but very personable...have heard that their bikes are high priced...but i got a good deal...I've ordered parts for my shovel there thru the years and usually review the parts list with the guys at the counter before ordering...I will continue to use them and recommend them

Re: Dealers You Wouldn't Recommend.

HAd Great experience with Grand Rapids HD in Hutsonville, MI. I live in Indiana but have a vacation spot in MI. Bought Wideglide well under MSRP and when asking about prices they would only give OUT THE DOOR price! which is the ONLY price anyone should get when asking. They replaced bars because I noticed the weld on 1 side showing 6 months after I bought bike no Problem! Dropped bike off on weekend and picked it up the next. Brother bought a bike from them a week later. This is 150 miles from were I live and I have 3 dealers by my house All priced msrp or above. Had some work done at Calumet HD not Happy always had a problem. Brother uses Valpo HD and likes there service. Do most of my own but if I need warrenty work will probably use VAlo HD

Brunswick H.D. near troy NY.When we were looking for a bike we went there and talked to the owner a very nice woman by the name of Helen for over two hours.we did not buy our bike there (bought one used from a friend)but had such a good experience there that we get all our service there and when the time comes to buy new we will most certainly buy there.

Kent's H-D Abilene Texas, I was on my return trip home after a week in the hill country and had a muffler leak. Was at Kent's H-D when they opened this morning they replaced the muffler clamp and gave me another clamp to replace the one on the other side and didn't charge me a dime and they had never seen me before and had me on the road in 30 min. great guy's.

Frieze H/D in Belleville, IL.

I was on my way to Sturgis in 2000. I stopped to check my load, and my scooter died. I called HOG, who in turn called Frieze H/D. I didn't get a call from someone that worked there, I got a call from the owner! Thanks Jenny...

Long story short... my starter motor had a short which burnt it out. They found the problem quick, but didn't have the part in stock. I had to overnight in beautiful Belleville. They kept my gear locked in the shop for me, and I stayed at the local motel a block down the street. The next day my scoot was sittin' out front, fixed and washed, waitin' for me to load up and continue my journey to the rally.

Everything was covered under warranty, and they wouldn't even let me pay for the tow. This shop is run the way ALL of the dealerships should be. The comment I got - "We have a bunch of our friends and family headed over in a couple of days, we would expect the same from any other shop if they had a problem"...

You guys ROCK - still...

Harley Davidson of Yorkton, Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Prior to buying my 09 Road King I had been looking at Harley's and after researching the issue to death, decided on the Road King. Yorkton is the closest dealership but this wasn't the reason I bought there. They went out of their way to provide me with the information I was looking for without being "pushy". They took my "06" Honda in trade and gave me what I believe to be an excellent deal. They have an excellent service department.

Great deals on all the other neat (Edit)they sell (and I am not finished buying yet - are we ever?????:D). When I took the bike in for it's first service I also had them install a detachable back rest, luggage rack, heated grips, wind deflectors and a couple of other items. The bill was so much less than I had anticipated (great deal on labour and discount on parts) I had to spend the money I saved on other stuff:reyes.

I bought a Triton cargo trailer from them as well and was very happy with the whole buying experience.

In short, a great dealership with super people.

I should also mention Mackie Harley Davidson in Oshawa, Ontario. This was the first Harley dealership I had ever been in. I had gone in just to look around, with no intention of ever buying a Harley. I ended up meeting one of their sales people, who had the same background as myself (retired R.C.M.P.). He spent a lot of time speaking with me, answering my questions, and basically sold me on Harleys. I was very impressed with this dealership as well and always make a point of stopping in whenever I am in the area.
