93 Octane,
If for some reason the station only has 91 I'll use that.
And if I'm low and the station only has 87 I'll just get a few gal. And fill up at another station.

Using 93 octane with ethanol, I get about 36 mpg on a 2012 softail. With ethanol free it is a little better...38 mpg. Put in some Sea Foam with 93 ethanol and I am consistantly getting 40 mpg. Not sure if the Sea Foam is making that much difference or if the bike is just getting "broke in".

I haven't seen 93 around here. 91 most places ethanol free if you believe the signs. Was a "probe" here a few weeks ago...many stations were not disclosing that there was ethanol in their premium gas.

Best gas I can get. Ethanol in all fuel in NY except at Marinas. Ethanol is bad for all motors if you let them sit. Rule of thumb for weekend warriors is fuel up before your ride, don't fill up on the way home. Really bad in boats which get used sparingly. Stabil makes an ethanol stabilizer which can save you lots of money in the long run.

I use to run BP 89 highest octane available in Ohio (from BP) but now switched to Sunoco 93 & my ultra doesnt ping as bad . My local shop said they never use BP fuels .

When I first got my Heritage, I was using 91 because, in my ignorance, I thought it was good enough since it was labeled premium. Bike started having problems, so after searching around I found a mom and pop gas station that has 93. Filled up and added a splash of octane boost, now the bike runs like a scalded dog. I only add a splash of octane boost once every 3rd or 4th fillup, but I use 93 octane and nothing less now.
