Here's my Trike build

Finally! The trike is all black. Man I hate body work and paint prep and painting! My shop is dusty and needless to add, there's dust in the painted surface. So when the paints all dry by tomorrow. Ill be wet sanding it all with 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper. Then I have to hand buff it out to a glass shine. I dont trust my self using a buffer. Too easy to burn the paint on an edge if not careful. The best compound I ever used and will be using is that Novis #2 Plexi glass polish that's sold at dealerships. Ive been non-stop at finishing the trike,... 7 days a week since capital Jack called me out on doing the Daytona Event. And oh by the way. Hoople,... I'll be expecting lunch. lol

We will be expecting you on the 5th @ the cracker barrel, Jack

The paint is dry and my next step is to pull it outside and wet sand the new painted surface with 2000 grit sandpaper. Then I'll compound the surface by hand.

Sure looks good from here! You gonna clear coat it too before you leave?

That is clear coated. I got dust in the surface and since Im really rusty at painting. I got a few runs as well. Their all sanded out and I have been buffing it now. A lot of work!!!

You have done a realy sweet job with it.

Thank you mat. I started building it in the beginning, Not because Im old, but because I can. Now Im glad I built it. I got older,... I'm beat from pouring so much time in it. I dont think I'd be able to pick up my two wheeler if I dropped it. So I'm glad this thing has 3 wheels. lol

Zoood..Thank you for your service sir.:hii..Old..Im 50 and in the last 2 years Im starting to understand, Hair, the whole works,.Ha ha. How old is a man when he is older than dirt..:newsmile091:I hope you have maney more years of riding ahead of you.. Lots of hours spent on your ride, and it shows..

The past two days I have been hand buffing the trikes body. Unfortunately, the hand buffing wasnt working! I had a large body shop buffer here that worked fine. Except for the tight areas. I went out and purchased for 30.00 one of those Flitz Buff Balls. Though I was skeptical about using it. I was really amazed at how well this product worked! Even when hand washing the product for the next days use. It was a piece of cake to clean. This thing is designed to be used on spokes, mags whatever needs polishing. I highly recommend getting this baby.

You've sold me! I've been looking for something like that to polish the annoying-to-clean aluminum wheels on my '10 TG.
