I have been looking for the 6speed Spectro around Portland OR, to no Luck. but did Fine a BMW shop said they have it but it says BMW on the bottel is this the same?

BMW on the bottle??? I'm gonna guess no.....but I suppose anything is possible.

I ordered mine from Dennis Kirk with the last parts order I placed. I also couldn't find it around Portland.

I pickup the bottle of BMW Spectro form BMW today, It comes in Red
I will take the bike out for a run ,, I know i paid more then should of the bottle had $23.95, but when i got home I see the card got nipd for $24.98 :(
So if you have info on BMW lable not being the same as 6 speed PLEASE let me know:p
 
Somebody has to pay for that BMW label :D

Have you tried peeling it off to see if the Spectro label was under it?

After looking around the net it would appear that Spectro does indeed make some oils for BMW.

Whether or not the trans lube you got is the same as the Spectro for 6 speeds....who knows.

I would contact Spectro if you have concern or doubt.

BTW, the stuff I use is red too.
 
Is the 6 speed Spectro gear oil red?? I've never had a bottle of Spectro, so i don't know,seems like you could have ATF which in most cases(not all) is a 75 or 80wt gear oil. Is Spectro 80 red? Bandit Machine suggest Spectro 80 to run in your primary with their clutches, you could have a good jug of primary fluid and could be ok for the tranny....but I'd check a little deeper....you really want a good gear oil in the tranny
