My first bike (taught myself to ride on this Ha Ha) was an 82 Honda CB900SS. I worked at a Heart Transplant clinic way back when I was in college and one of my favorite patients Ray Nelson used to ride this from HomeWood Flossmor to Maywood for his checkups. One day one of the doc's noticed his helmet and asked him what it was for. When he told them he rides to the clinic everyweek she nearly had a heart attack. Doc's told him that with his heart (transplant wasn't going well), he was not to ride EVER AGAIN. No joke, he was admitted the very next day and died the day after. My guess is, even though it was a Honda, he truly "Lived to Ride". It turns out he willed his bike to me. I rode that thing into the ground in his honor. Wish I still had it. But never the less, 20 years later I switched to HD and bought a Sporty. Traded that in last year for a SG. Sorry the post is so long but had to share this with you guys. Cheers!
